ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Eddie Rodriguez Jr and I am a graduate of New York University with a BFA in Acting and a minor in Dance, currently seeking both representation and management. I began my studies at NYU in the Meisner Studio for my first two years, I then spent some time in the New Studio on Broadway for Musical Theatre and then the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. I spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy where I sang in the St. Marks church, came back to the city, and finished my time in the Experimental Theatre Wing.

I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. In the third grade, I began performing in musical theatre which quickly led me to commercial, print, and film acting; where I had the pleasure of working with some of my favorite companies such as Disney and Nickelodeon.

In Middle School I was introduced to Musical Theatre where I quickly joined a Community Theatre starring in my first role on stagers as Jojo in Seusissical. My heart was instantly given to live performance.

I genuinely can't explain what it feels like to perform live. The vibrations and energy of a live audience sends a jolt of excitement and inspiration through me when I perform live on stage, there is nothing I can compare to it. Theatre is a face-to-face medium that forces audience to confront what is real and doesn't allow for commentary, until you have been forced to sit with all of it. I find this so exciting and inspiring and am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to share my experiences and artistic passion with other like minded artists in the best city in the world, Creating art that will change people.
